Nokia X10 Mobile: Product Review

Nokia X10 Mobile Review : The new X series is at the top of Nokia’s smartphone range with two phones, the X20 and the X10. In this technical sheet we analyze the characteristics of the latter and also compare it with its older brother.

The mobile brings together all the specifications with which the firm has given its new smartphones: reliability, durability, quality and design. That’s why the Nokia X10 launches with three years of monthly security updates, three operating system updates and a 100% compostable case.

It is a smartphone compatible with 5G networks, which offers a browsing speed 20 times faster than the average speed of 4G; a large 4-sensor camera with a 48 MP front lens and image customization features, as well as a 6.67″ edge-to-edge display.

Features Of The Nokia X10

We are facing a phone of 168.94 x 79.7 x 9.1 mm that weighs 210 grams and is put on sale in two colors, but, importantly, without a charger. The aim of this decision is to encourage the responsible use of telephones and preserve the environment.

As we have already said, it offers three years of updates and a design starring a camera in circular encapsulation. In front the screen features a hole for the front camera.

Screen

The display of the phone reaches dimensions of 6.67 inches edge-to-edge that offers a ratio between body and screen of more than 90% that reduces the side frames to a minimum. This panel has a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 px which generates a density of 395 dpi.

Its aspect ratio is 20: 9 and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, both the screen and the selfie sensor that is located in the hole in the central part of it.

Yield

Do not expect to find a high-end chipset in the smartphone but at least it is compatible with 5G networks. It is a Snapdragon 480 processor that has an X51 modem compatible with 5G SA and NSA networks below 6 GHz and has been developed under the 8 nm format.

As usual with these phones, it is configured with eight cores organized with 4 x Cortex-A76 at 2.0 GHz and 4 x Cortex-A55 at 1.8 GHz. It is accompanied by an Adreno 619 GPU sufficient to run almost all Android games and apps smoothly.

The smartphone is sold with 4 or 6 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and storage options of 64 or 128 GB. However, when buying one or the other, there is a curiosity that we discussed in the price section of the Nokia X10.

Camera

The phone has a 48 MP quad camera with the renowned ZEISS Optics and the practical AI image that provides, among other things, videos with impeccable clarity. In addition, you can instantly share your creation with whoever you want thanks to 5G, regardless of size.

The other sensors are a 5 MP wide-angle, a 2 MP macro sensor and a 2 MP depth lens. As far as video recording with this main camera is concerned, we have 30fps at 1080p quality.

In front is an 8 MP lens that also allows you to record videos and 1080p at 30 fps.

Android 11 brings a number of professional color editing and adjustment tools to the phone including Cinema mode, Portrait mode, and ZEISS Flares. Plus, thanks to Google Photos, you can store your precious photos and videos without having to worry about space.

Also noteworthy is the Nokia X10’s new Dual Sight multi-camera mode that allows you to record with two cameras at once, so you can capture both sides of the action from multiple angles. To this we add that you can add watermarks to your photos, either by incorporating a unique signature for your work projects or by sending a personalized birthday message to a friend.

Battery

Nokia ensures that its smartphone offers an autonomy greater than 48 hours under normal use and is something in which it has placed special emphasis. It is a 4470 mAh cell with 18W fast charging functions.

Differences With Nokia’s X20

There really are not many differences between the phones because both share screen, processor and battery. The design is practically identical between the two phones except for one small detail: the weight. The Nokia X10 is somewhat lighter than the Nokia X20, which with a weight of 220 grams is 10 grams higher.

Another of the big differences between the two phones that, we assume, is the reason that the weight is different, is in the camera. The two models have 4 sensors, with a 5 MP wide angle, a 2 MP depth sensor and a last 2 MP sensor for macro photos. The change is in the main sensor, which in this smartphone is configured with a 48 MP lens while in the X20 mounts a higher resolution sensor, specifically 64 MP.

Price And Purchase Options

The Nokia X10 is a smartphone that goes on sale with quite strange memory configurations. On the one hand we have the 4 GB model with 128 GB of storage for 299 dollars and on the other, a model with more RAM (6 GB) and less internal memory (64 GB) for 329 dollars. You can buy it in Forest color, that is, green, or Snow color (white).
